can someone help me i installed ubuntu alongside Windows XP on my netbook so it is dual boot now. but i messed up installation leaving ubuntu unstable. so i wanted to extend my primary C partition with Win XP, deleting one with ubuntu so i can reinstall ubuntu clean. Problem is, gparted see only one partition of unallocated space (on pics below) and when i double click it, mesagge says: "cant have overlapping partitions"i can boot my Win Xp without problems using GNU Grub so to resume, i want to delete ubuntu partition but i can't since it doesn't shows upFEEL FREE TO POST HERE AS GUEST without registrationheres what i see in gparted: and when i click to device-attempt data rescue i got this message: and when i click ok i got this message: and when i click view i got this message: when i click on desktop File/system utils-partimage, this opens up: sda1 is my C partition NTFS where is my WIN XP installed sda2 extended i dont know what this is sda5 and SDA6 that is where i installed my ubuntu, these 2 partitions together have 10 GB sdb1 this is my flash USB stick *edit i fixed it, downloaded partition wizard home edition that runs under Windows XP, he was able to see linux partition, i erased it and then my computer crashed and on boot message appeared:"GRUB- error: no such partition grub rescue>" i was really scared at this point, thought my windows xp was deleted or something. turns out deleting linux partitions, i messed up windows Master Boot Record. so i downloaded rescatux, booted it from USB, and fixed MBR using that. My windows XP booted and everything is ok now www.mediafire.com/?gg27127gju5i8mr
